Our Services
Legal Services
We provide free of charge or low-cost legal aid for individuals with disabilities including limited short-term legal assistance and long-term direct case representation for issues under our purview. We also offer information and referrals for cases that are out of scope for our team.
Advocacy and Support
We offer resources and guidance for people with disabilities through our Self-Advocacy Assistance program so you know how to advocate for your rights. Our services include expert advice, educational materials like books, workbooks, and fact sheets on critical issues.
Investigations
We offer investigations into abuse and neglect at facilities for those with mental illness, developmental disabilities, the elderly, and inmates. Our work covers nursing homes to prisons and addresses unlawful seclusion and restraint in schools.
Education and Training
We offer training programs for housing providers, educators, attorneys, and policy makers, focusing on disability rights and laws. Our trainings cover topics like ADA basics, employment law, fair housing, IDEA in schools, restraint in schools, service animal rights, and voting rights.
