- Clear Navigation: We maintain a consistent and predictable layout throughout our website.
- Keyboard Accessible: Our content and all focusable elements can be accessed using a keyboard only.
- Descriptive Link and Button Text: Our hyperlinks and buttons use clear and descriptive text.
- Alternative Text for Images: We provide alternative text for images to convey essential information. Some images are decorative but they might have alternative text due to our front-end development expertise limitations.

Limitations
We are constantly working to improve the accessibility of the Disability Law Colorado website, but we recognize that there are still challenges and limitations. Here are some known limitations:
- Interactive Components: Some of our interactive maps might not be fully accessible to screen reader users. Alternative content or descriptive text is available, and we’re investigating more comprehensive solutions.
- Document Accessibility: Some of our older PDF documents might not be fully accessible. We are working on either updating these documents or providing them in more accessible formats upon request.
- 3rd-party Content / Software: While we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it’s not always possible to do so in all areas of our website. Some 3rd party content, such as mapping services, widgets, or embedded videos, which we embed on our website from time to time, may not be fully accessible. We do not have control over third-party offerings, and their accessibility can vary. We’re actively seeking alternatives or ways to make them more accessible. We encourage users to contact us if they face any issues related to 3rd-party software on our site.
- Archived Content: Disability Rights Colorado recently underwent a massive website re-platforming. We migrated our content from Drupal to WordPress while also changing our domain name from disabilitylawco.org to disabilityrightsco.org Older content or previously published content might not be fully accessible. While it’s not feasible to update all past content, we’re committed to improving the most essential and frequently accessed materials. If you would like accessible formats of our archived content, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
If you encounter any of these issues or find others, please contact us. Your feedback helps us improve and make our content more accessible for everyone.
